COST EFFECTIVE CASE SEALERS ARE A POPULAR CHOICE

Combining very competitive pricing with quality construction, high specification and an exceptionally compact footprint, the Siat SK2 semi-automatic carton sealers are proving a popular choice for customers of Linkx Systems. The company has already sold close to 20 of these easy-to-use machines to users that include Birds Eye Foods, Bernard Matthews, Glendale Foods, Jordans Ryvita and Seven Seas, and it is continuing to see strong demand for further machines.

“The appeal of these machines, which in most applications have a very short pay-back time, is confirmed by the impressive number of repeat orders we’re receiving,” said David Hayward, Managing Director of Linkx Systems. “And also by the great success we’ve had with loan machines we’ve supplied for evaluation – at the end of the loan period, the users simply don’t want to let them go!”

The Siat SK2 tape seals the top or bottom of manually closed cases. It has been specifically designed to be easy to use and simple to adjust, and features product centring feed with top and bottom belt drives for accurate tape and seal positioning. It is suitable for use with cases of any length from 150 mm upward, with heights from 140 mm to 500mm and widths from 100 mm to 500 mm.

Straightforward size change facilities ensure fast set up, and the machines incorporate a 2,000 m tape holder to minimise downtime for tape changes. Throughput of up to 800 cases per hour is easily achieved. SK2 machines have a footprint of just 1,100 mm x 750 mm, allowing them to be accommodated in even the most space restricted environments, and they can be supplied in versions to operate from either single-phase or three-phase power.

Linkx Systems not only sells Siat SK2 tape sealers, normally offering new and refurbished machines from stock, but also provides comprehensive support, including a readily accessible telephone advice service operated by expert UK-based engineers. In addition, Linkx holds a comprehensive range of spares and consumables for the machines, including belts, blades and bearings. Stocked in the UK, these are usually available for same-day despatch.

While Siattape sealers are most often used as standalone machines, Linkx can also integrate them fully with packaging systems providing, for example, unified control and monitoring facilities for the whole line. The company’s experience engineers can also offer a wide range of customisation options to meet specific user requirements.
